What I am looking for is not out there, it is in me.

Hitting the Town

Today, I'm leaving to go to this nice spot that's a park & beach. I've never seen one of these before, but being taken there for my birthday was one of the best places I've ever been.

Now, seeing as though I dabble in photography, I would love to get a variety of people to help me do photo-shoots. (It's for my college portfolio). If there are any takers, I would appreciate an e-mail, even if you live somewhere extravagant! (You can reach me at lo.d.alexandra@gmail.com)
I'd love to hear from as many people as I can!
These are just some works that haven't been edited for effects yet!

(Expect a post from todays adventure)

Life as a Journey

How many of us know what we want to do with our lives, and how many of us are still searching for "true happiness," or even "true love." How many of us live throughout our lives feeling as though something's missing, or that we haven't received the gift of life? How many of us run scared when opportunity comes knocking at our door, and how many of us stay hidden behind the shadows, only being "comfortable" with being the "backstage man?"
If you posses any of these traits or exemplify any of these qualities, when are you going to say "Enough is Enough!"
I believe the time is now! Now is the time to stand up, and say "I'm looking out for me, time to make myself happy first, because I am important!"
For all my readers, this is our movement...
Through fashion, through food, through traveling, through life.
It's time we start experience all that LIFE has to offer.

Escaping From Reality

Do you ever find yourself drifting from reality as though your day-dreams are more realistic then the conscious world you live in?
I find myself drifting in thought, mainly about different scenarios with a different set of people in each piece in my mind. I seem to try and be fully content with the way life is being played out for me, but it seems as though a weight is on my shoulder. A weight that seems so unrealistically heavy and I just can't seem to shake it from my presence.
The saying usually goes, "We always want what we can't have," but how many of us look at what we do have and realize that, that's maybe what was intended for us "right now" just to learn from? How many of us actually agree with the saying, "What awaits us in the future is beyond the substance of the present. The present is preparing you for what is going to happen later."?

Here are some of the many faces of ME, when I first got a new Camera. Enjoy :)

I'll give up youth to grow old with you."

Some Shops of the World

Shopping- to look for something with the intentions of buying it.

How many things do we "shop" for before we say "That's enough, I don't need anymore things?"
How much money do we spend before we realize "Oh NO! I went over my budget?!"
How much do our beautiful feet and hands have to endure before we realize, "These bags and this walking is too much?"
What makes us want to shop for more, even if we had about every possible thing we could ever need? Is it the thrill, the excitement, the joy of having a new item in your closet?
Everyday, there are priceless clothing hanging in people's closest that haven't even been worn yet. The reason why is either because they have nothing to pair it with, (these are for our combiners), or simply because they now realize that they don't like the item they bought. This results in countless dollars spent each year, that you can't get back because these items are in your closet.
I went shopping the other day, and I promised myself I wasn't going to buy unnecessary apparel that I do not need. Guess what happened? I kept it.
I must admit though, walking down those isles were unbelievably unbearable, especially when my fingers skimmed across countless fabrics, and my eyes met countless colors, all I wanted to do was try them on, see what I could do so the fabric can work with me, and then just buy it!
I stopped myself, realizing that for now, the items that were hanging in these stores, on these racks, don't need to be attended to by me, at this moment. I can make due with the thousands of clothes I have in my closet. And today's day, was just about admiring and enjoying the beautiful scenery that this mall had to offer. I feel like not enough of us enjoy what's around us, and only enjoy what's placed extravagantly in front of us. Those aren't the only things that can bring joy though...

Oh, The Endless Possibilities.

Captivating, Endless, Intricate, Genuine, Divine, Expression! Adjectives, descriptive words that are used to describe. Those words will definitely make a piece of writing jump off a page. It brings it to life, giving it color. Another thing that's important is fluency, if a piece of writing doesn't flow, it's not going to make sense. There's no such thing as blending words to make a new one, it's more about combining to make words that already exist.

When it comes to fabrics, patterns and clothing, many things need to be taken into consideration, but not combining. Combining is something many people do just off of habit, but when putting clothing together, it's more about blending. Everything doesn't need to match to a "T," but certain colors can be mixed with other vibrant colors to produce a beautiful outfit. Fabrics give you as much flexibility as you need in order to make a master piece or wear one.
Fabrics also give us freedom of expression with out verbally or hurtfully lashing out. Colors blended with other colors and patterns that enhance your keen eye sense can be interpreted in many ways. Fabric is like a painting on a canvas, the artist might have gotten inspiration from something particular in order to create his master piece, yet when you look at it, you might feel a whole different emotion.
Clothing is also about the body in them, and the personality equipped to handle certain material. For a better interpretation, you wouldn't wear yellow and give off the aura of feeling hate. These pictures are my stance that I'm taking. Decorating posters and attempting to be elected as a class VP for my student body. One more year to go :)
